How It Started
The LOCAL Place and MADE share one mission: to create places where connection, creativity, and community flourish.
They transformed an 80-year-old building on Centerville's historic downtown square into a thriving multi-business destination — a full-service cafe with custom-roasted espresso and 64 flavors of homemade ice cream downstairs, and MADE @ The Local pottery and candle studio upstairs, where guests can paint pottery and pour candles.
Every batch of ice cream is made by hand by Concetta. Every shot of espresso is pulled to order. Every piece of pottery is glazed and fired in-house. We believe in doing things the right way, not the fast way.
The LOCAL Drive-Thru followed on Highway 100, bringing the same quality coffee and friendly service to a grab-and-go format for early risers and commuters.
Our Mission
The LOCAL Place is a community-driven cafe and coffee shop offering handcrafted food, locally roasted coffee, and homemade ice cream. Its sister business, MADE, provides creative workshop experiences — from pottery painting to candle making — designed to bring people together through hands-on creativity.
We're proud to be part of Centerville's downtown square — about an hour from Nashville. Whether you're a regular or just passing through, you're always welcome here.
From Our Farm to Your Plate
Some of what we serve comes straight from Forevermore Farm — our family's homestead in Lyles, Tennessee.
Heritage Pork
Our heritage Berkshire and Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs are raised free-range on open pasture — no pharmaceutical vaccines, no shortcuts. The result is dark, marbled pork that tastes like pork is supposed to taste. From our farm to our kitchen.
Farm-Fresh Eggs
Our hens roam free at Forevermore Farm. The eggs show up here — rich yolks, hard shells, the kind of eggs you can actually taste. That's the difference when you know where your food comes from.
