An After-Hours Experience

The Cafe Transforms After Close

When the coffee shop closes, something else begins. The LOCAL Place at 111 S Public Square becomes an intimate Italian dining room — low light, white tablecloths, and a menu that takes two hours to finish the right way.

What you'll find on the table are the flavors and the meals that Concetta's mother — born and raised in Caserta, Italy — put in front of her family every day. The meals Italians make in their homes on a daily basis. Working-class cooking. The kind that doesn't try to impress anyone. Pasta made the way it was taught. Braised meats that take all day. Food that tastes like someone's home.

Exclusive. After-hours. Limited seating.

Can I order coffee or espresso during dinner?

The coffee bar will not be open during dinner. If you want an espresso, arrive before 6. And a word of advice — in Italy, cappuccino is strictly a morning drink. Ordering one after a meal is a dead giveaway you're not from there. Espresso after dinner? Always. Cappuccino? Never.
