MADE @ The Local

Paint-Your-Own Pottery

Choose a piece, paint it your way, and we'll glaze and fire it in-house. No experience needed. No sitting fees.

How Pottery Works

Pick a bisque piece from our shelf — mugs, plates, bowls, figurines, and more ($10–$80). There are no sitting fees, just the cost of the piece.

Sit down with our glazes, brushes, and stamps and create something one-of-a-kind. Our staff is here to help with technique, color choices, or just encouragement.

When you're done, leave your piece with us. We apply a clear glaze and fire it in our kiln. Your piece is ready for pickup in 7–14 days.

Out-of-state? We can ship your finished piece right to your door.

Good to Know

Pieces are lead-free, food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-friendly.

Unfinished pieces are held for up to 30 days.

Projects typically take about 2 hours — quieter Wednesday and Thursday if you need extra time.

BYOB welcome. Walk-ins welcome.

I attended a ladies night out at Made @ the Local! It was such a sweet time to fellowship with friends and paint pottery. Even if it's your first time, you feel totally at ease. I chose to paint a mug and I've been drinking from it every morning since!

The atmosphere was cozy, creative, and welcoming. The staff walked me through the pottery painting process and offered great tips. Picking up my finished pieces truly made this 'non-creative' lady feel like an artist!
